Terms of Use
Last updated: 10 May 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between EduBook Tech (“EduBook Pro”, “we”, “us”) and any individual or entity (“Customer”, “you”) that creates an account, installs the desktop application, or otherwise accesses any EduBook Pro service. By doing any of those things you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
EduBook Pro is a software-as-a-service product for educational centers, comprising:
- a Windows desktop application installed at the Customer’s premises;
- our cloud services at
license.edubookapp.com; - the public booking site at
book.edubookapp.com; - the staff dashboard at
app.edubookapp.com; - the parent portal at
parent.edubookapp.com; - the online exams platform at
exams.edubookapp.com; - the documentation site at
documentation.edubookapp.com; - any related integrations (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, payment gateways).
We may add, remove, or change components of the Service at our discretion. Material changes that reduce functionality will be announced in-product or by email at least thirty (30) days in advance.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under Egyptian law to use the Service. A single Customer (“tenant”) may have multiple staff user accounts; each staff account is personal and must not be shared. You are responsible for all activity on your tenant.
3. Trial period
We offer a fourteen (14) day free trial of the full Service. During the trial:
- no payment instrument is required;
- all features are available, including those normally restricted to higher plans;
- at the end of the trial you must select a paid plan to continue using the Service. Otherwise your tenant moves to a read-only state until you subscribe or delete the account.
4. Subscriptions and plans
The Service is offered on monthly or annual subscription terms
through the plans published on edubookapp.com/pricing. Each
plan defines:
- the device limit (number of simultaneous installations);
- the student capacity (maximum number of active enrolled students);
- which feature modules are unlocked (online exams, WhatsApp notifications, online groups, etc.).
Plan parameters and pricing may change with thirty (30) days’ notice. Changes do not retroactively affect a subscription period already paid for.
5. Payment
Payment is processed by third-party providers — currently PayPal and (where enabled) Paymob — under terms set by those providers. We do not store full payment card numbers. Cash and bank-transfer payments may be accepted for invoices issued by us directly.
All fees are quoted in either Egyptian Pounds (EGP) or US Dollars (USD), depending on the customer’s location and selected gateway. You are responsible for any applicable taxes, including Value-Added Tax where it applies under Egyptian law.
Renewal occurs automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. Cancellation, refunds, and related rules are governed by the Refund Policy.
6. Customer data and ownership
You own all data you upload to the Service (“Customer Data”), including but not limited to: student records, parent contacts, schedules, attendance logs, exam answers and scores, and uploaded files. We process Customer Data solely on your behalf and only as necessary to operate the Service. See the Privacy Policy for details.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process Customer Data for the purpose of delivering the Service to you. We do not sell Customer Data or use it to train machine- learning models.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to violate Egyptian law or the laws of any other jurisdiction that applies to you;
- upload personal data of individuals without a lawful basis;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the desktop application beyond what is permitted under Article 1 of Decision No. 366 of 2003 issued under the Intellectual Property Protection Law No. 82 of 2002;
- resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without prior written authorization;
- attempt to defeat the device-binding mechanism or use a single license on more devices than your plan allows;
- send spam or unsolicited bulk messages via the WhatsApp, email, or SMS integrations;
- interfere with the operation of the Service or attempt to access tenants or data that do not belong to you.
We may suspend access without notice if we reasonably believe a violation is in progress.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including all software, designs, brand elements, documentation, and underlying technology, is and remains the exclusive property of EduBook Tech and its licensors. No rights are granted to you except the limited right to access and use the Service for the duration of your subscription.
9. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, UltraMSG, PayPal, Paymob, Google, and others). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms; we are not responsible for their availability, behavior, pricing, or policies.
10. Service availability and warranties
We aim to keep the Service available 24×7, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. We may schedule maintenance or experience outages caused by our infrastructure providers, internet routing, or other factors outside our reasonable control.
The Service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted under Egyptian law, we disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Egyptian law, our total aggregate liability under or in connection with the Service — whether in contract, tort, or otherwise — is limited to the total fees paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the liability. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data.
These limitations do not affect any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Egyptian law (such as liability for fraud or for damage caused by gross negligence).
12. Suspension and termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time via the in-application cancellation flow or by contacting support. Refund terms are governed by the Refund Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
- you breach these Terms and do not cure the breach within ten (10) business days of written notice;
- a payment fails and is not resolved within the grace period defined in the Refund Policy;
- we are required to do so by a competent authority or by law.
Upon termination you have ninety (90) days during which you can export your Customer Data via the in-application tools or by written request. After that period your data may be permanently deleted from our active systems, subject to legal retention obligations.
13. Confidentiality
Each party agrees to keep confidential any non-public information disclosed by the other in connection with the Service and to use it only for the purposes contemplated by these Terms.
14. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil disturbance, government action, telecommunications failures, or extended outages at major infrastructure providers.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via in-product notice or email at least thirty (30) days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms — and which the parties cannot resolve through good-faith negotiation within thirty (30) days — shall be referred to the competent Egyptian courts seated in Cairo, including the Cairo Economic Court where it has jurisdiction over the subject matter.
17. Contact
For any question about these Terms write to service@edubookapp.com, attention “Legal”.
